Piano

I really like playing piano a lot. I've got a bunch of books of rock music. I'm pretty good at them. It's a lot of fun to play. I like to play for people. It's fun to have people sing along with you. I started to feel confident about my playing abilities.

Then, yesterday I found I had a book of Classical Masterpieces.

Humbling experience.

Musicals

For over a half-hour last night, Mike and I sang everything we said to one another, as though we were in an opera or musical. It was amazing. If you need some laughs, and don't care if strangers stare at you, go sing. Sing everything. It doesn't matter if you can't sing (like me), just do it, and you'll have fun. Have conversations with people in song. Sing about ANYTHING that is going on. I promise you will have fun.

Unfortunately we didn't have a video camera, or I would have shared with you some of our classics such as: "This is the First Time I've Worn Jeans Since 8th Grade," "Is it OK if We're Late to this Party?" "Why Did You Carry This Tree Around?" and finally, "It is Hard to Sing at this Fast Waltz Tempo"

Cameron's Creations

I drew this several years ago, but I still think it's pretty cool. It was a running shoe with some weird nettings rubber/design thing on it. I expanded it to be a web to which it is attached.
Sorry about the bad scan.

Also, I have added two score to the place on the internet where you can hear music. One, HERE, is an arrangement of a hymn at school for people at my church who play Flute, Violin, and Viola to play with me on piano. I think it came out pretty well. The other tune was an experiment in a musical mode called "Phrygian mode." the mode itself is weird, so I chose a peculiar combination of instruments and occasionally awkward time signatures. "Phrygerator" is HERE.

Again, the audio quality for the web-based player is low, so if you really want an MP3 with better sound, e-mail me.

Music

Our repertoire is expanding--it now includes a little music! Click here to hear a sonata I wrote for music theory! There's also a short piece I wrote a while ago on that site, here. It's catchy and sounds like something from an old videogame, but it's only like a minute long. You'll have to download something to hear the music, but trust me, it will not harm/slow down your computer at all. And if you are worried about it, just uninstall it afterwards. I'm a little obsessive about my computer's security, so if I would install it, so can you.
